Ingredient Studies
We take pride in our carefully selected ingredients for each of our products, and ensure that every ingredient has been clinically shown to fight hair loss.
AO MINOXIDIL SOLUTION
Minoxidil - a potassium channel opener and vasodilator. Theoretically, by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, it allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the follicles.

AZ-6™ Complex - complex consisting of zinc and vitamin B6 which has been shown to effectively inhibit 5-alpha Reductase (the enzyme responsible for the formation of DHT) activity up to 90%.

Copper Tripeptide - This complex has been known to have effects on hair growth through various mechanisms including dermal fibroblast stimulation and increased expression of vascular endothelial growth factor. It is also known to decrease the secretion of transforming growth factor-β1 by dermal fibroblasts. In addition, it reduces the number of apoptotic dermal papilla cells, showing the elevated ratio of Bcl-2/Bax and the reduced levels of the cleaved forms of caspase-3.

Caffeine - is an alkaloid methylxanthine and functions as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, promoting cellular proliferation. In vitro studies report that caffeine counteracts the inhibitory effects of testosterone on hair growth, promotes hair shaft elongation, prolongs anagen duration, and stimulates hair matrix keratinocyte proliferation. Caffeine also down-regulates testosterone-induced transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 expression, a hair growth inhibitor, and increases expression of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1, a hair growth promoter.

Golpour et al: Comparing the effectiveness of local solution of minoxidil and caffeine 2.5% with local solution of minoxidil 2.5% in treatment of androgenetic alopecia. J Mazandaran Univ Med Sci 2013; 23: 30–36.
Pazoki-Toroudi H: The efficacy and safety of minoxidil 5% combination with azelaic acid 1/5% and caffeine 1% solution on male pattern hair loss (abstract). J Invest Dermatol 2013; 133:S84.
Adenosine - Been shown to increases the proportion of thick hairs by stimulating dermal papilla cells. The application of adenosine 0.75% solution just once daily showed an equivalent treatment effect to that of 5% minoxidil applied once daily in terms of changes in total recovered area by newly grown terminal hairs.

Panax Ginseng - Recent studies have shown panax ginseng root effectively increased hair density and thickness for both male and female pattern hair loss.

Angelica Sinensis - A traditional Chinese herb that is used to stop hair loss and even regrow hair. It contains phytoestrogens, which reduces the formation of DHT.

Saw Palmetto - Saw Palmetto extract has been shown to inhibit both types of 5-α reductase, leading to increase in average hair count and average hair width.

Gingko Biloba - Gingko Biloba's properties as a vasodilator are thought to be able to help reduce hair loss, as the widening of blood vessels which supply hair follicles enables a better supply of nutrients.

Grapeseed - proanthocyanidins from grape seeds have been shown to promote proliferation of hair follicle cells in vitro and convert hair cycle in vivo.

BOOSTER
Retinol - when used in conjunction with minoxidil, it has been shown to increase the rate of hair growth, prolong the anagen phase of the hair cycle, and produce denser hair regrowth. It achieves this effect by converting to retinoic acid which increases the percutaneous absorption of minoxidil, which in turn enhances the response of hair loss to minoxidil.

HAIR CARE
Salicylic Acid - Penetrates the follicles to clear out hardened sebum and dead skin cells

Sodium Shale Oil Sulfonate - Treats and prevents dandruff by slowing the proliferation of skin cells, whilst providing anti-inflammatory benefits. Effective for mild dandruff.
MULTIVITAMIN PLUS
Gingko Leaf - Has been shown to be a vasodilator and can increase cerebral blood flow, potentially increasing the supply of nutrients to the scalp and hair follicles.

Phytosterol - Can inhibit the formation of 5-alpha reductase; an enzyme that transforms the testosterone in our scalp into the androgen DHT, which causes miniaturisation of hair follicles.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12006122
Brocolli - When ingested, broccoli produces 3,3'-Diindolylmethane (DIM) which inhibits the action of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone mainly responsible for androgenetic alopecia.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12665522
Reishi Mushroom - An effective inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase, which converts testosterone into the more potent DHT. Improves blood circulation and also has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.

SkinStamp
Microneedling - Microneedling induces hair regrowth via the following:
- Release of platelet-derived growth factor and epidermal growth factors are increased through platelet activation and skin wound regeneration mechanism.
- Activation of stem cells in the hair bulge area under wound healing conditions.
- Increases skin permeability allowing for increased penetration of active ingredients such as Minoxidil, maximising its effectiveness.
